  • cookie and analytics data, where used;
  • records of communications with us.

3. How we use your information

We may use your personal data to:

  • manage trader pre-registrations and waiting lists;
  • understand likely demand by market, category and location;
  • respond to your questions or enquiries;
  • review investor, NED, advisor and strategic expressions of interest;
  • provide the next step you ask us for, such as an introductory meeting, investor materials, pre-seed SEIS round information, NED / advisory discussion, or general updates as d'Market develops;
  • send launch-related or development updates where you have asked to hear from us;
  • improve our website, communications and early-stage product planning;
  • maintain our records and protect the security of our website and business; and
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Our lawful bases for processing

We only process personal data where we have a valid lawful basis to do so. Depending on the context, we may rely on:

  • Legitimate interests — for example, to operate our website, manage pre-registration and investor interest, respond to enquiries, review submissions, plan our launch and support the development of our business, provided our interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent — where you ask to receive updates, where you choose to hear when d'Market launches in your area, or where consent is required for electronic marketing communications or non-essential cookies.
  • Legal obligation — where we need to keep or disclose information to comply with applicable law or regulation.

5. Marketing and updates

If you choose to hear from us, we may send you updates about:

  • d'Market's development and launch plans;
  • trader pre-registration updates;
  • investor / NED follow-up;
  • requested investor materials or pre-seed SEIS round information; and
  • relevant business news or announcements.

For traders, if you select "Yes, keep me updated", we may contact you about launch-related updates relevant to d'Market.

For investors, NEDs, advisors and strategic contacts, if you request a next step such as investor materials / deck, pre-seed SEIS round information, an introductory meeting, or general updates, we may use your details to respond to that request and follow up accordingly.

If, in future, we contact individuals by email, SMS, WhatsApp or similar electronic means, we will do so in line with applicable privacy and electronic communications rules. You can opt out at any time, and we will honour any objection to direct marketing.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share personal data with trusted service providers who help us operate our website and business, such as:

  • website hosting providers;
  • form and database providers;
  • email and communications tools;
  • analytics providers;
  • professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants or compliance advisers.

We may also share data:

  • if required by law, regulation or legal process;
  • in connection with a corporate transaction, investment, restructuring or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate protections.

Where we share personal data with service providers, we expect them to handle it securely and only for authorised purposes.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where that happens, we will take appropriate steps to protect your information in line with applicable data protection requirements.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • manage trader pre-registration and investor / NED expressions of interest;
  • keep records of communications and requested next steps;
  • support launch planning and early business operations; and
  • meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements.

If you tell us you do not want updates, or later unsubscribe, we may keep limited information to record your preference and avoid contacting you again in error.

If investor materials are requested, submissions may be reviewed manually before any follow-up is sent.

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is used;
  • request access to your personal data;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
  • ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request portability of certain data; and
  • withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at: hello@dmarketapp.com

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully or unfairly.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to help protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to support core site functionality.

We may also introduce analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand website usage and improve performance. If we use non-essential analytics cookies or similar technologies, we will provide appropriate notice and, where required, obtain consent before those technologies are used.

If analytics is introduced, we may also publish a separate Cookie Notice.
